Mariah Carey’s Younger Brother Alleges That The Singer Has Developed A Serious Addiction to Drugs and Alcohol

Allegedly the 45-year-old R&B superstar Mariah Carey has developed addictions to drugs and alcohol and is abusing the two simultaneously. Mariah’s brother, Morgan, has spoken out about his fear that his  sister has developed an addiction to alcohol and prescription drugs. The “We Belong Together” singer’s sibling, says that he hasn’t seen his estranged sister in almost two years. However, he is still fearful that his sister is unable to care for her two young twins, Moroccan and Monroe, due to her attempting to numb personal problems by drinking wine and champagne. Morgan believes Mariah may be suicidal and a threat to her own children.

Allegedly, the singer has been a heavy drinker, stemming from mental health issues in the year 2001. Morgan told the National Enquirer magazine “Mariah was drinking through  her pregnancy – even while she was nursing. I can’t say that I’ve ever been around her sober and it’s scary.”

Morgan also claimed that Mariah takes a cocktail of medications daily comprised of prescription medications including  Zyprexa, Ativan, and Depakote. This daily cocktail is taken in addition with her daily booze intake.  He’s lead to believe that his sister will “die like Whitney Houston.” The late Whitney Houston, who was Mariah Carey’s mentor passed away in 2012 after accidentally drowning with a multitude of drugs found in her system.

Morgan also added that since her divorce, the R&B superstar has no support system and is not mentally capable. Allegedly Mariah has pushed away all of the trustworthy people in her life, and her social circle consists of her entourage. An entourage which Morgan believes is fueling his sister’s addiction. The National Enquirer  quotes Morgan, “If my sister turns up dead … I’m not going to look the other way! Anyone who’s filling her glass is jeopardizing her life!”

Morgan is hopeful that his sister will pull herself together, at least for her children’s sake as he believes his niece and nephew are in danger.
