Cops Seize Drugs and Guns at A Rap Video Shoot Attended By Hip Hop CelebritiesA rap video shoot turned into a series of arrests after a set of plainclothes cops recovered a stash of loaded guns and drugs at a video shoot for a rap video. Police sources say that hip hop superstars including Busta Rhymes, French Montana, and Juelz Santana.

According to NY Post, police were called by local residents around 6:15 p.m. after seeing a crowd of about 200 walking around the parking lot of Bravo Supermarket. The crowd was spotted at the corner of Fulton and Linwood streets in the Cypress Hill area.

Upon arrival, the plainclothes police officers worked their way through the large crowd and stopped when they allegedly spotted the security guard for the video shoot with a gun in his pants pockets. The officers then identified themselves. The 35-year-old security guard was Frank Bartlett. Bartlett surrendered to the police.

Word of Bartlett’s arrest began to spread throughout the crowd causing people to attempt getting rid of their contraband. The officers still managed to arrest Ronald James, 32, and Ebonee Eastmond, 27, after James allegedly attempted to pass Eastmond his loaded .22. Edward Elkins, 36, was also arrested for the possession of a .40 caliber pistol which he had wrapped in a plastic bag hidden in between his legs. Wendy Miranda, 30, was also arrested for dropping a .32 caliber revolver near a row of parked luxury cars.

Police also recovered a plastic ziplock bag containing cocaine, marijuana, and tablets of Molly and four loaded guns.

Authorities were uncertain of which artist the video shoot was being filmed for,  however they did discover that it was arranged by French Montana’s Coke Boy Records label.

Sources say that none of the hip hop super stars were arrested or charged with any wrongdoing.

Rap artists commonly feature drugs, money and guns in their videos. It’s been an ongoing thing for many years. Rap culture is often viewed as a negative influence due to it’s use and mention of drugs and weapons.
