Bobby Brown Mourns the Loss of of His Beloved Bobbi Kristina

Our hearts go out to Bobbi Kristina’s family after her passing from an alleged drug overdose. Her father, Bobby Brown, is mourning the loss of his beloved daughter, and is feeling the weight of guilt many parents who have lost their children to the battle of addiction experience after their untimely ends. In the case of Bobbi Kristina, it seems her genetic predisposition for addiction, mounted with the gut wrenching loss of her mother, Whitney Houston, was too much to bear under the weight of other stressors revolving famed life, and the typically happenings of the young adult world.

“Bobby has so much guilt that it is eating him up every day,”

Brown’s friend goes on to mention Bobby’s guilt over not becoming Krissy’s legal guardian, as Britney Spear’s father did back in 2008 when she struggled with her own bout of addiction. There are no balming words to speak to a parent who has borne witness to the passing of a child, but there are support groups of parents who ban together with the common goal of eliminating addiction forever.

These parental support groups often serve as a vehicle to express the pain of losing a child, and mobilize efforts to raise awareness about the disease of addiction, and prevent more young people from suffering the fates of their children. Although there has been no mention on Brown becoming involved in one of these support groups, his influence may be able to reach those who have been unreachable.
